Passion Makes Perfect
We are nestled in the beautiful foothills of Searcy Arkansas, I’m LaDonna, the breeder. My family and I live on a beautifully wooded 100 acres complete with walking trails along with a small lake that we take the dogs to almost daily to run and swim. Six years ago, I discovered that breeding is my passion and ever since I discovered this, I haven’t worked a day since. Don’t get me wrong, having multiple dogs and caring for puppies can take your whole day and most of your nights when you have puppies.
What is a Bernedoodle?
Bernedoodles are a hybrid breed, a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. Bernedoodles are great companions. They are affectionate, calm, loyal, and devoted. They love to be with their family, whether it be relaxing at home or out walking, biking, or hiking trails. We strive to be the best miniature Bernedoodle breeder we can be, providing families with puppies from outstanding breeding dogs with great health, temperament, and looks.
Standard Bernedoodles typically stand at 23 – 29 inches and weigh 70 – 90 lbs.
The Bernedoodle generation we produce is an F1 Bernedoodle, Bernese Mountain Dog and poodle mix. They are also known as Bernepoos or Bernese Mountain-poos.
Tricolor Bernedoodles are black with white around the muzzle and face, a white chest, and usually white on their toes and legs with copper points over the eyebrows, down the legs, and on each side of the jaw. These are the colors of the Bernese Mountain Dog and it’s the most desired colors out of all the different colors that Bernedoodles can come in.
Merle refers more to the pattern of a coat rather than the actual color. Our Merle Bernedoodle’s coat will be a solid color with whiter patches of blue/gray, giving the coat a speckled effect with a bluish cast.
Well-bred Bernedoodles tend to blend the best attributes of the Bernese and Poodle. They are friendly, fun, goofy, and very social dogs. They’re good with children and the elderly. They also make great therapy dogs. Bernedoodles need basic training, socialization, and guidance to learn right from wrong. They are intelligent and social dogs, a lack of training or human interaction can lead to behavioral problems. Training and exercise will make both the owner and Bernedoodle happy.
Most Bernedoodles have a moderate activity level. They love to run, go on walks, hike, and play fetch, but they also love to relax with their humans, snuggled up on the couch to watch TV.

Not all pups are made the same, they have different personalities. For the most part, Bernedoodles are calm, social, and loving. We do puppy picks between 5 and 6 weeks, and I do a temperament test at 7 weeks. Your puppy’s test results will be in your puppy packet. Knowing your pup’s score will be very helpful to you and how you handle your puppy. It would also be very helpful to a trainer that would be working with your new puppy. The test I use is the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test. I will have a pretty good idea of your pup’s temperament prior to testing and would be happy to help you with picking a pup if needed.
